idstudio basics
This page will guide you through the fundamentals of navigating idStudio. Note that the images and descriptions in the document are based on the default layout of idStudio. The editor itself is highly customizable, with the ability to expand and dock windows in a variety of ways.
idStudio Interface

Navigating the World Editor
To move around the viewport in the World Editor use the right mouse button.
To zoom in and out, scroll up or down with the mouse wheel.
Navigating the MegaEditor
Moving around in the MegaEditor is fairly easy:
Hold rightclick+move to navigate along the Z and X axis.
Hold ctrl+rightclick+move to navigate along the X and Y axis.
Hold alt+rightclick+move to zoom.
Hold shift+rightclick+move to rotate around a pivot.
Alt+D will drop you to a players perspective.
Alt+X will spawn you to the players spawn start.
Navigating the World Camera View
There are 3 Camera Modes to choose from in the World Camera View:

1.Radiant Classic Camera Movement
rightclick+move to move around
shift+rightclick+move to rotate around a pivot
ctrl+rightclick+move to move side to side and up and down
2.Planar Camera Movement
rightclick+move to move around
shift+rightclick+move to rotate around a pivot
ctrl+rightclick+move to move side to side and up and down
3.Quake WASD Camera Movement
rightclick+W to move forward
rightclick+A to move left
rightclick+S to move back
rightclick+D to move right
rightclick+drag to change direction
Navigating the Preview Window
Right Click + Drag to rotate preview
Left Click + Drag to move preview
Selecting, Deselecting, and Deleting in the World Editor
Shift+Left Click to select
Escape to deselect selected
Backspace to delete selected
Alt+ Left Click + Drag to select multiple objects
