multi_xfer patch

Considering that I did this almost 6 months ago I think it's about time
to send it in.  This should address the case sensitivity issues with
multiplayer and Windows clients.  This will lowercase the filenames
passed in the headers so that files are written and read using the lower
case name.  I don't play multiplayer so other than making sure that it
does write and call files in lowercase, that were otherwise mixed case,
between Linux and Windows clients I haven't really tested this.  Unless
there are objections I'll put it in tomorrow.
