boy, I sure love to reply to my own posts! ;-)

...after looking at the debug log while playing, I noticed a coupla
things: obviously, I overlooked byte swapping when reading models!
d'oh! I'll get on this, and then we'll see where we are...

...the other thing is "player lethality": what is it? After
"Entering game at time ...", I get a series of reports on this, like:

lethality: Player lethality: -0.2, num turrets targeting player: 0

...which then fairly quickly reduces to:

lethality: Player lethality: -10.0, num turrets targeting player: 0

...which then repeats constantly along with:

STUB: ds3d_update_listener at
/Users/tigital/Desktop/programming/freespace2/src/sound/ds.cpp, line
3689, thread 3655

...for most of the rest of the log, at least until the game is
quit...is this a correct behavior for "lethality", or is this some
player statistic that indicates other player-oriented things that
need to be byte swapped?

tanx,
jamie
