[cod] cod Digest, Vol 8, Issue 36

I think that Acti know that it makes more money from peer servers and
Microsoft servers (as you must own the game) rather than officially
supported third party Linux boxes. Therefor spending money for third
party host that don't have to purchase a game per server is futile. I
also don't think that put much more than the standard effort into
keeping from being reverse engineered knowing that some LINUX geek aka
Ryan will port the thing. Why spend money you don't have to. I think
Infinity Ward would much rather pay a linux developer to port their
server prior to launch. IW has a lot of pride in this game vs.
Activision's monetary desires. To be honest I think that emailing the
right person at IW would get some swift results in your favor.
