[cod] monitoring script

I think that you firstly need to calm down,
Secondly i  belive my answer should be pretty sufficient to find out
a basic solution to his question, I told him to google..
Now if you cant use google to find simple things (How hard is it to
find out how cronjob works?  or perhaps to google up the basic syntax
of IF's in bash?)
then you shouldnt be using linux.

Other than that i told him to use google, i gave him my idea of how to
do it quick
and simple, not anything that he can be lazy about and copy 'n paste
to have it work, but enough to collect a few simple things together
and make it himself.
