[bf1942] BF2 + Logging in?

LAN games are still LAN games and won't require a login to play. We took
that decision right at the start.

Have large LAN's been taken into account? This often gets forgotten with
these sort of things. Im talking 500->1000+ players with real IP
addresses not internal ones running under multiple VLAN's.
I know steam doesn't deal with this at all well would be a shame to see
BF fail at this hurdle as well aka would cause me real pain :P

LAN centers are covered in the system design so that you can play w/
real your account on someone else's machine. You can also create
temporary accounts if you do not own the game yourself. These will be
tied to the machine at the LAN center and will not be persisted between
rounds.

Atleast this is how I remember it, I haven't been in that loop for a
while. The design doesn't affect dedicated servers to the best of my
knowledge.
