           Summary: Free-to-use 64bit tools exist on Windows, yet no
                    support to build ioquake3 exists because of waiting
                    for gcc support.
           Product: ioquake3
           Version: SVN HEAD
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows 2000
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: Platform
        AssignedTo: zakk at icculus.org
        ReportedBy: arxeio at gmail.com

'This is getting needlessly messianic'.

Sure, it's excellent having first a GPL compiler before supporting 64bit
windows but it's now 2009 and still it's only possible to compile it 32bit.

The free-to-use compiler is the one from Windows SDK latest.

* get latest SDK
* make a project on Visual C++ (already done)
* compile it with msbuild/vcbuild on command line
* fix the errors
* profit
