Hi,
I want to announce that I have completely rewritten ObFileBrowser. The original
version was hacked together out of curiosity and left at that. The new
version's code is much cleaner and modularized.
The functionality is mostly unchanged, but there are some additions, the most
notable of which is an option to generate a Desktop Entry menu for launching
applications.

I also want to announce the new version of Mimeo on this list. It's a
command-line tool (and Python module) for opening files based on MIME-type and
custom associations. The new versions now includes functionality for managing
MIME-type associations as well and it strives to comply with the standards
specified on freedesktop.org, for compatibility with other applications (e.g.
PCManFM).
It can of course be used to configure ObFileBrowser launcher menus.

If you noticed any errors, non-standard behavior, or any other way to improve
either application, please let me know (check that you have the latest version
first, as I update frequently... use my repo if you're using Arch). General
feedback is also welcome.
Regards,
Xyne
