[openbox] Transparency artefacts with urxvt

The Wiki describes this problem but I've run into a weird phenomena. I'm using openbox with xcompmgr and urxvt as suggested and I've set xresources to

urxvt...
background: rgba:0000/0000/0000/5555
foreground: green
font: ...
depth: 32
tintColor: white
shading: 0

(tried shading: 100 and others, too)

THe problem is the artefacts do still appear UNTIL I resize urxvt - then suddenly transparency increases (or it just looks that way) and the artefacts for that specific window disappear.

If I specify the parameter as cli options it gets even more random:

urxvt -tint white -sh 100   -> window with artefacts until resized appears -> closed
urxvt -tint white -sh 0      -> window with artefacts until resized again -> closed
urxvt -tint white -sh 100    -> window WITHOUT artefacts


Any ideas? I hoping you guy could help because you accounted for that in your wiki!
