User defined font as default

I use openbox 3.2, couldn't find any documentation
to set user defined font preference prior to any theme-specified font.

I know I can modify themerc and it works.
But that's not really what I want.
I use multibyte characters as major script,
and as openbox does not fontconfig-built compunded font family,
I have to set exactly native fontname, for every single themerc.

There was a few traces for old versions of openbox.
openbox3 support user defined font?
