[openbox] [OT] utility to group together (NOT tab) multiple windows ?

somebody suggested using the ctwm WM as a "inner" WM:

root WM openbox
start multiple "ctwm -w", use the "adopt window" function to "swallow"
the windows you are interested in.

Try it, I find it amazing
