[openbox] How do windows set their icons?

In completely non-technical terms... an application creates a pixmap, and
then sets a hint that points to that pixmap as its icon.

It's then up to the window manager to use it, or not use it, as
appropriate.

Take a look at one of those applications that contains an icon, you'll see
how it works.
