Well, yes. On Tim Riley's OpenBox page 
(http://openmonkey.com/tr/openbox.php), you will find a program called 
"bgmenu," which builds a menu of your wallpapers and allows you to switch 
between them. Perhaps "background changer" isn't the most precise term, but 
I thought it precise enough.

Thank you, Tim. I find bgmenu to be very elegant and useful.
