Openbox 3 beta3 and GNOME 2.4.0

I just upgraded to GNOME 2.4.0 and I am having problems with the some of 
the panel actions and applets.  When I gnome with metacity I get no 
problems.  When I run ob3 with the just the gnome panel I get the 
following errors:

Show Desktop Action:

   GNOME_ShowDesktopApplet
   Details: Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0'


Window List Applet:

   GNOME_WindowListApplet
   Details: Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0'
