[openbox] Announcing bgmenu for openbox

However you start your Desktop Enviroment you should be able to see why the
script isn't working. ".xsession-errors" or from the virtual terminal that you
use "startx" in, something. When you click on the desktop the menu itself won't
give you an error, such is not the nature of how it works...

In my bgmenurc is:

/home/jmob/Themes/Backgrounds full

and the entry for the pipe menu:

  <menu id="apps" />
  <menu id="games" />
  <separator />
  <menu id="bg-menu" label="Backgrounds" execute="/home/jmob/.openbox/bgmenu.rb"
/>
  <menu id="theme-menu" label="Themes" execute="sh -c '/home/jmob/.openbox/theme
menu'" />
  <separator />
  <item label="Restart"><action name="restart" /></item>
  <item label="Exit"><action name="exit" /></item>
</menu>
