praise / open to a particular workspace?

Two things I like about rc3:
	- black window border when switching
	- mplayer movies now maximize over the gnome-panel (maybe not related to openbox)

And one thing I've been wondering:
  Would it be difficult to write a "wrapper" program to open a program on a particular workspace?  I want my email to always open on workspace 3, for example.  It'd be *awesome* if there were some xml property we could add into the menu file for that, but I guess a wrapper program might be easier.  Does anyone know if this already exists, or if there's a way I can do this?
