[Gtkradiant] lwo models (Lightwave Object) and ZeroRadiant 1.6

I have a potential customer of Radiant 1.6 who says he won't use it unless
there is lwo model support for it
(other Radiants such as 1.5 have support for it I think).

Would anyone oppose an effort to add lwo support, so long as it's
non-intrusive and does not affect any existing functionality?

Any tips on how to go about adding this functionality?
