i was just about to suggest this, i have some futher thoughts on it :)
1. moving the selection while in VERTEX MODE! if i wanted to move a selection i
wouldnt be in vertex mode. this slows the computer to a halt if it is a terrain
that gets moved -- makes it very hard to edit terrain from the 3d camera view.
2. vertex mode prevents you from creating your object when you have to move
points into invalid positions in the process of creating your shape.
3. vertex mode error correction messes up your work -- all of the points you
placed get shifted so that the editor can "fix your mistake". on some objects
once all of your points have become shifted like this you cannot move them back
because all moves are now invalid.
suggested fixes:
an option button for vertex checking and correction to be completely disabled.
console can list the brush# of invalid shapes so they can be fixed manually.
moving the selection while in vertex mode is a useless feature and should be
taken out entirely, its simple to turn off vertex mode, move an object, then go
back into vertex mode.
