If you have the entity inspector open, and have the list of entities at the top highlighted, and then press "s" to go to the first entity in the list beginning with "s", the surface inspector dialog opens.

other hotkeys like "t" and "o" also do similarly annoying things.

Note that the first entity beginning with the key that was pressed is correctly selected.

basically, we need to disable other hotkeys when the list of entities is active.
