"set stuff up a certain way" = using the old exe.

When I changed the paths in the .ase to all lowercase the new version did not 
work. It also broke the old version so I had to go back through the .ase and 
change "quake" back to "Quake" for it to compile the model.

It may be that texture names with CAPS will cause "WARNING: illegal material 
name" as well I havn't tried it...

I recommend this not be a warning because models with this problem can also 
crash the game. "ERROR:illegal material name" may be better?

The fact remains that no model no matter what the path looks like will compile 
properly with the current 1.1.1 q3data and may crash the game but will work 
with the dec99 version.

The path code may be a terrible hack just be sure thats whats really the 
problem in this case.
