1: Goto 2d window.
2. Right click for entity drop down menu.
3. Select misc_model.
4. The file browser should open up.

In the file browser, it shows up just like a map open dialog. Including the 
file extensions it is searching for. *.map and *.reg, rather then *.md3. 

You can not select a *.md3 from the drop down extension menu.
