[cod] Sorry have to vent, Modern Warfare 2 on the PC

It should be a good idea, but does the source SDK allow you to rewrite
half of the game engine to match the cod gameplay (lean, aim, to say
things I did not find in HL2 -- I have never tried the other
source-based), rewrite the physics (always based on HL2 : the guy is
really sliding !) ? All that is map or texture-related is not a problem,
but the game mechanics are far more difficult to code, and so to replace
from the original.

And even with the best community coders of the world, you won't kick out
the remaining bugs that crawls into CoD4 and so far in WaW, because in
the end, the parts you can rewrite with the modtools are in fact limited...

All that you want from a game sequel is not only what you can code with
modtools, it's also hardcoded enhancements (guided RPG is an example).
On MW2, there's no enhancement in regards to PC port (because it's
become just a port) : just things to make the cash go into Activision's
boss' pocket.

All this disaster make me say one thing : there's no perfect alternative
to that shit, even murder this bas...d won't make them change a single
bit of the game (it's too late, game is already finished)

Hard words, I know, but anger is what is dominating me each time I try
to think about it. And it's also coming from the laziness of the
developers that say "we can't test all the possibilities to make a
patch", what others have made for years and it was working... So I'd
better stop thinking about it, just blacklist all Activision games in
the future, maybe write "fuck" on each activision game box I found at
the retail store :D
