[cod] Sorry have to vent, Modern Warfare 2 on the PC

My guess is it stems from ATVI repeatedly offering poor or no support for
server operators (linux in particular by repeatedly delaying Linux server
binaries) and poorly supporting the PC server community in general. Combined
with the steady lessening of the CoD series for the PC by releasing a half
assed port of a console game for the PC instead of a legitimate FPS written
for a PC gamer.
ATVI is happy with the console money and it requires less work and less
support. Most console kiddies get bored with games and go by the next "hot"
title in a few weeks. Whereas, PC gamers playing MP expect a good MP
experience, patches to fix bugs (maybe even map packs) and modding tools.
None of which make the cash register jingle in ATVI's mind. The half assed
PC port is simply gravy for ATVI when us suckers by their console game
hoping desperately for a complete MP experience like we had with the
original CoD and the UO expansion.
I will still be putting up a MW2 server for my community, but it is doubtful
that I will play the MP portion of the game myself.

Out of curiosity what is the basis for all these sentiments?
Thank you. :)
