Dirty Little Helper 98 Archive Format Secrets
The offline cheat/FAQ/GameShark database of my childhood, Dirty Little Helper 98
invokes a massive amount of nostalgia in me.
Early on it was quite obvious that it uses the RAR format.
You can only open them as read-only as they're password protected, but
you can figure out the password quite easily:
:aa
That's the password. So now go ahead and extract and archive all those .dlm
files that get falsely reported as Viruses.
They should have really encrypted them or something back then :/
Anyway, there's still a lot of binary garbage in there that I can't figure out.
I'll try and see if there's some other basic rot13 esque trickery going on.
Maybe a Qt-based front-end would be a neat weekend project. Who knows?
