Slackware Current

I migrated to -current again after years of not having done so. I felt I had to because 14.2 is getting quite old and KDE5 from ktown isn't getting feature updates anymore (like I have the time trying to install THAT from Source...)

Some thoughts on the February KTown Release and -current:

- Kwin crashes a few times when configuring the notifications, why? At least it restarts itself now.
- Finally no one has to manually install all the Discord dependencies from SBo
- Now there are so many packages, I feel like I just should migrate to KDE Neon already

So far I haven't discovered any crashes in KDevelop (14.2's packages ship with an old QT Framework with a terrible TextEditor framework bug that caused frustration every hour or two)

So uhh, yeah. I spent the last day upgrading my system. I felt like it was necessary, because as mentioned above... KDevelop crashing just doesn't increase productivity.

But to provide context, productivity had been an all-time high for me thanks to alienbob for supplying the amazing KDE5 environment. It's the reason why I upgraded to 16 GB of DDR 3 RAM for my tine ThinkCentre... and it was worth it. Let's hope more stability and performance improvements are coming to KDE5.
