Thanks for the tip.  Setting Options "NvAGP" "1" and rebooting did,
infact, start X properly.  Performance was horrendous, though, when
compared to using AGPGART.  Heres the logs of the same benchmarks I ran
earlier, but with "NvAGP" "1" (FW=1,SBA=1):
