Hmm. are you running the latest version of ut2003 for linux? i was
fairly certain that this problem had been fixed. it's definently a known
bug.
Basically, it's downloading it to a temporary area, and then moving it
to somewhere in ~/.ut2003/, depending on the resource being downloaded.

if you're still seeing this, even after all the patches, then you've got
something weird, however.
