[ut2003io] Sound in Red Hat 9

You can download the latest openal.so from 4front technologies at
http://www.opensound.com/ that worked for my RedHat 9 system a bit
better than the 2199 version since now the music volume works.  The only
issue I've found is that the environmental sounds tent to be a bit over
localized.  

What drivers are you using for the 9700?  I used the firegl 2.9.6
drivers from http://www.schneider-digital.de/html/download_ati.html and
had issues with mouse trails in 2D mode on my 9000 pro.  I'm currently
running 2.9.8 with no issue and see that there is a version 2.9.12 ...
anybody using this version?
