Besides NWN and UT2K3, I've also seen this problem with Frozen Bubble and 
LBreakout2. I found that if I use ctrl/alt/- to change the desktop 
resolution before playing the game, it works fine. That'll do for a 
workaround. I joined the SDL mailing list and made a post about this. 
Hopefully we'll get some satisfaction.
