Linux Client Freezes

My apologies if this has been covered already, but a couple of us have
been totally unable to run the Linux client successfully at all.  Each
time, it simply freezes at some point during the game - full hard
lockup, requires a hard reboot.

Sysinfo:

RH 7.3
Athlon 1800 XP
TI4600 w/latest drivers installed
1 gb RAM
'plain white vanilla' Gnome installation

Any hints, help or previously-covered info on this?
