I confirmed my thoughts that I was CPU limited by running
flyby-antalus.sh five times then boosting my FSB to 145 and re-running
the flyby again.  I managed to get a about a 10% boost on low & average
and a 8% on max & score.

Looks like the game engine is the bottleneck ::sigh:: I guess I need
more CPU.  Last game I got a new system because was Desent 3, and when
Loki released a Linux Version I finally able to delete my windows
partition.
