Sorting articles in the file system

I wonder, how are people sorting articles in the file system?
Currently I have them sorted by subject, but that should be
unnecessary once I really start to sort them with Referencer. I'd like
to use a diferent criterion in the file system, like publication name
or everything-in-a-paste, but I'm not sure. Any suggestion?
