pyddr and commerical game cdroms

I would like to buy a DDR cdrom game, but use the music and steps with
pyddr. I see that pyddr understands most formats.

Is there any issue reading the songs/steps from commerical DDR games?
(ie the songs on the cdrom are compressed, hidden, etc)

If some games are usable for pyddr and others not, which games are
known to work with pyddr?
