MojoSetup status?

Hi,

We're in need of a installer for a commercial Linux package, and have had a 
look at MojoSetup, which seems to fit our needs. 

What is the status of MojoSetup? Looking at various web sites it seems that it 
is still alpha quality (at least of May this year). Has there been 
significant development lately? 

We have only basic needs. Unzip some files, check some permissions, show an 
EULA and readme, install some icons. All on a handfull of different Linuxes 
(OpenSuse 10.0-10.3, recent Fedoras, RedHat EL/CentOS 4, Debian 4).

Could we trust MojoSetup with this task, or are we bound for disaster? Does 
the installer look OK at the moment?

What other options do we have if we can't use MojoSetup? Maybe Bitrock is the 
way to go?
