The duke3d example installer is now in Subversion, along with a shell script (make.sh) that awkwardly puts the final downloadable package together from scratch. It's not the cleanest way to do it, but it should give you a good idea of what steps you would take to automate the building of an installer. More examples will be forthcoming. --ryan.
