[mohaa] [mohPA] Linux Bins?

Hi,

EA seem to not realise that Linux is as important for not say more important as Windows into server's hosting and that is really sad...
They don't need to make a full client but just a dedicated server on Linux...

They just released a Wndows patch for Battlefield (1942 and Vietnam) without any annoucement about the Linux patch and of course people that updated theyr game were not able to connect on Linux's servers...
I counted 4 french server with the 1.21 patch (mean on windows) against 36 no-patched 1.2 server for BFV... That's a shame for me because it is not mentionned that if you patch your game you will probabily not be able to connect on servers... So people patch and then can't no more play on theyr server....
This show how much server are hosted on Linux and i hope EA will now understand that without Linux's servers they can't sell theyr games...
(Counted approximaly on world's server BFV: 392 with the 40 EA official's server so can say about 350 updated server on 1150 = 30% so mean about 60-70% blocked)

MohPA will not grow up till first they got a Linux server's support for get more server online thats mean more people rent servers so mean more people bought the game.... and of course they better get a lower CPU usage because that fix the server's prices and if it is too high people can't afford it so they don't rent server so they don't buy the game...

When you see it is only 90 PA server worldwide with 18 EA official's server against hundred of CoD's servers and this after about one month...

In a way I wonder if it is not some way to promote windows when you see some partnership... but that's my opinion...

So I still hope they will learn one day and we will get Linux's server sooner and especialy update at the same time as Windows's one....

Lestat

Very fast indeed, the CoD linux patches seemed to be released at the same time as the windows versions were... I wonder why...

Maybe it is because ACTIVISION does support linux, while EA disregards linux as a superior server OS...

Well you can't expect anything else than a delay. First of all EA has to release the patch and then the scripters have to update the linux version J But the delay isn't that much, for CoD the updates were very fast J

Okey, i will be nice and wait patiently. I'm glad to know they are still working on Linux support, some rumours are goiing there won't be anny Linux support and that would be realy sad.

So i'm glad there is one comming, another question i have to ask, will there be on each patch for MohPA an delay on the Linux version of it (it isn't bad if it's just a day or two, but a month is realy long i think), i know it takes some time to make the Linux patch so that's why i ask.
