Thanks, fixed that problem, now, what is the fix to get the game to show up
other than local? sv_gamespy = 1 anyother things to check for?

Sounds like the dasboot map problem! Do you have any custom .pk3 files?
user-dasboot.pk3 was causing this under Win32 SH servers. The culprit was a
bad ubersound.scr.txt file within the mod. The fix was to remove the file
from the pk3.

| thanks, now I have to rumage and fix this:
|
| -----------PARSING 'ubersound/ubersound.scr.txt' (SERVER)------------
| Any SetCurrentTiki errors means that tiki wasn't prefetched and
| tiki-specific sounds for it won't work. To fix prefetch the tiki. Ignore
if
| you don't use that tiki on this level.

|
| Spearhead is started using:
|
| /home/mohaa/spearhead_lnxded +set developer 2 +set logfile 2 +exec
| con_linux.cfg +exec server.cfg
|
| The config files are in the attached ZIP archive.

| |
| | WOW, you call this Alpha?????! It's better than the retail, lol!!!!
8->
| |
| | Good Job! Been playing on a 10 man server without any more crashes
| (Alpha2
| | bin). Game server has been up for over 12 consecutive hours on a Sun
RaQ
| 4
| | server (Cobalt linux). Switch around the standard maps a lot (tdm, obj,
| | tow).

| |
| | |
| | | Unpack this over your Spearhead installation to replace the Alpha1
bins:
| | |
| | | http://icculus.org/betas/mohaa/spearhead_lnxded_2.11-ALPHA2.tar.bz2
| | |
| | | The event queue memory corruption looks like
| | | yet-another-broken-memory-pool-algorithm...I replaced it with straight
| | | malloc() and free() calls, and valgrind didn't detect a single buffer
| | | overrun...which means it was the memory pool manager itself causing
| | | trouble.
| | |
| | | Might be more problems (dunno if the memory pool is not used
elsewhere,
| or
| | | just the Event class caused problems...), but this cleaned up my
| | | reproducable crashbug, and I could call a mapvote/change levels with
my
| | | one win32 client on the map.
| | |
| | | So, in short, this might be much more stable, but we won't know for
| | | certain until you guys pound on it. Have fun.
