Eric here is what I get when I try to run the file from the
/home/zaphod/MOHAA dir (this is where I typed the command line you said was
ok at):

[root at moss MOHAA]# ./start-mohaa 1 209.240.4.253 12203 tdm.cfg &
[1] 6463
bash: ./start-mohaa: bad interpreter: Permission denied
[1]+  Exit 126                ./start-mohaa 1 209.240.4.253 12203 tdm.cfg
[root at moss MOHAA]#

what does that mean?

With Counter-Strike you need to do this line before it runs....do I need it
with MOHAA as well?:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

 From the look of it you're using my config files, so I guess I best
answer :)

try:

MOHHOME=/home/zaphod/MOHAA

instead. it'll work a lot better :)

the cmd line to start it is alright.

Have fun!

Eric.
