I have just committed into CVS a brand new version of
Makeself, which is a complete rewrite of the previous versions (way
overdue). It is part of the loki_setup module. Changes include :

- Much saner command-line argument handling
- The code is a LOT more readable, and overall cleaner
- The header stub is separated from and is a hell of a lot
easier to maintain
- More portable. I have successfully tested the new version on Linux,
HP-UX, Solaris, and IRIX. If you have access to other systems or even
old versions, please try it and let me know of any possible issues.
I am also interested to hear how well this performs on MacOS X.

The same features should still be available. The command line arguments
are roughly the same.
This is still "beta", so please bang on it and send me any bug reports /
bug fixes / patches.
