[Gtkradiant] Newest Radiant fails to run on Win7

Hi guys. As you may know, TTimo and I have both successfully compiled
the current SVN trunk GtkRadiant code on Windows within the last
couple of days.

Now, I'm trying both my build and TTimo's build (which is here:
http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/files/radiant/developer/1.6.1/GtkR-1.6.2-11282010.zip
) on my 32 bit Windows 7 Ultimate computer. With both builds, I get a
crash. The crash looks exactly the same in both cases and happens at
the same time.

When I am asked to configure Radiant with a game, and then hit OK,
Radiant will create a .game file in the install/games/ directory. In
my case, the file is created but has 0 bytes inside it. Then it
crashes.

The error looks something like this:

I tried copying some dlls from the Visual C++ install to the Radiant
install dir, as per Markus' suggestion, but this didn't help the
matter.

Now, should I plunge into debugging this problem, meaning start adding
println()'s until I have narrowed it down? Or does someone have a
better idea? I have never debugged anything in Windows.
