[freespace2] Linux joystick code

I had the same problem once before.  Be sure that the SDL_LINUX_JOYSTICK
variable is set correctly (http://sdldoc.csn.ul.ie/sdlenvvars.php) to
get the hat and all axes working correctly.  I think that this made the
throttle easier to use for me as well though I'm completely sure about
that.
