[freespace2] Linux joystick code

I just tried joy-sdl with the evdev interface and it doesn't work.  Guess I'd 
have to update SDL.

I'll stick to using joydev to play the game but I'll read up on the evdev and 
HID for my own education.  It just occurred to me what the controller name 
might be used for but I'll take further explorations of the joystick off this 
mailing list.
