Addendum: Now I found the points where it crashes _always_. 
In the levels SP1M1-UrbiaSouth and SP2M1-MarketMadness
on accessing the Master Communication Panel (That red thing, in
SP1M1 right at the beginning, to the left.): 

Assertion failed: fMovie [File:UnMovie.cpp] [Line: 62]

The relevant parts of the log don't say anything more specific than
this, strace neither. 

I'd be glad if someone could give me confirmation that this error 
is reproduceable. 

(And something completely different: The MOHAA-beta has run out -- it
thinks its 30 days are over. Hope this doesn't happen to Devastation too).
