[cod] Welcome Player <playername> console message

It is a feature of some Admin/Stats packages for games. Big Bother admin
comes to mind.

 

Also it is scripted feature of Even Balances Ucon program. Which is
basically RCON excepts it's for running PB commands remotely.

 

PB Bans added this feature to their Ucon Streaming setup. Busted Punks also
offers it for their Ucon streaming project.

 

You could write your own Ucon script or find a decent coder to do it and do
this and more.

Hi,

 

Maybe this is not the proper place to ask this, but I know there are a lot
CoD4 knowledgable ppl here.

 

It is possible to welcome players with their name when they join the server
without using a mod ?

I have seen several ranked/pure servers  which welcome players, but how ?

 

Can anyone hint me on this ?
