Alright,

If all you want to do is to configure CoD4 or CoD5 to run off different ip
addresses, here is a simple answer:

1. Create a shortcut to the multiplayer executable to the desktop

1a. For CoD4 this is "iw3mp.exe" defaultly located in "C:\Program
Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Mondern Warfare\iw3mp.exe"

2. Right click on the shortcut, click properties

3. In the box that says "target", scroll to the end and add "+set net_ip
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx will be the ip address.

3a. The "target" box should read:

        "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Mondern
Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set net_ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

4. Click apply

5. Rename the shortcut to whatever, I suggest "CoD4 MP IP1"

6. Repeat steps 1-5, except put the second IP address in for step 3 and name
the shortcut "CoD4 MP IP2"

By following these steps, you ensure that by using each icon, it will set
the game to a diffrent ipaddress.
For a more in-depth way to do this for several games, not just CoD4/CoD5,
you can set up a route table for windows.
This is a little more complicated to handle, however it is easier in *nix
distros, but here is a link to look at for windows:

http://www.pc101.com/forum/f88/add-tcp-ip-route-your-routing-table-4645/

If you are wanting servers to host two games at diffrent ip addresses, just
add "set net_ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to the *.cfg file

I actually host many games from one nic using different ports without
problems. This is also an option if you want to host two games on one nic
and files on another.

I hope this helps,

Sincerely,
