I always add this to the startup command line on unix if it's any help to
you.
+sets gamestartup "`date +"%Y-%m-%d %T"`"
That gives you the date whenever your server starts up or reboots. Unix only
of course, it doesn't work on windows.
0:00 InitGame:
\g_antilag\1\g_compassShowEnemies\0\g_gametype\war\gamename\Call of Duty
4\gamestartup\2007-11-27 16:28:11\mapname\mp_crash\ etc.. etc..

Subject: Re: [cod] PATCH WISHLIST...
Hi,
would it be possible to add cvars enabling new logging functions?
1. A usable timestamp (for stats tools)
2. A log rotation by day, map or logfilesize
3. A logfolder
eg.
set g_logtimestamp 1 // 1=classic Q3, 2=Unix style, 3=Human readable
(eg. 20071130-18:31:45)
set g_logroatation 3 // 0=off, 1=by day, 2=every mapchange, 3=by size
set g_logrotationsize 1024 // maximum logfilesize in KB
set g_logfolder /home/xyz/cod4/logs/server1/ // folder to write the
logs (in windows use c:\cod4\.....)
Would be nice.
greetings splaTTer
