[cod] overwriting demo

It came to our attention that the 1.2 version of cod no longer takes new
names for demo's .
Whit version 1.1 this worked fine:
seta demo_start "record; set demo_tog vstr demo_stop"
seta demo_stop "stoprecord; set demo_tog vstr demo_start"
seta demo_tog "vstr demo_start"
bind F11 "vstr demo_tog"
but now he alway's write to demo0000.dm_2 where he use to write 0001, 0002,
0003, ... you get the point.
anyone got a solution to this problem?
