[bf1942] Battlefront on Linux?

I think a lot of the server problems stem from the fact it is a console port
the server itself seems to be designed for the PS2 or Xbox Live service with
the PC version just a simple port. 

Which is no surprise, when pandemic said they had a separate team working on
the PC version versus the Console version was obviously not the case.

Something as simple as kicking a player is not even possible except for in
game player voting. I actually suspect this will catch on and you'll soon
see no servers with TeamDamage on as the griefing is going to be horrid..

We all know from BF how "well" in game voting works on removing griefers..
not so much because of the voting system but just because public players
don't vote.

Yes and a particularly bad ( server wise ) engine it is.
There is no config file only command line options, its
really a client not a server and you cant even set the ports
so only one server per machine.

When will people learn
