Highly depends on the kernel frequency with a 100Hz kernel this is most
likely what you will get. Try a 200Hz or 1000Hz kernel.
N.B.  FreeBSD can change this on boot up Linux needs a kernel recompile.
2.6 Linux kernels are 1000Hz by default iirc where as 2.4 are 100Hz.
