[bf1942] Formula for calculating CPU status?

I guess that this would be a good argument to run BF as a Service under
Windows (so it doesn't have to setup DirectX?)  Does running it as a
service vs. as a foreground application even make a difference?

How is Ryan planning on calculating CPU status on the Linux side?
